on 1 spot - 90.00%
Every return here is worked out exactly, as a fraction: the chance of catching c of n spots when 20 of 80 balls are drawn is C(n, c) × C(80 − n, 20 − c) ÷ C(80, 20), the hypergeometric distribution.
The last ball is any of the twenty drawn as likely as any other, so a game that catches c spots has the last ball among them c times in 20, and a pay p for that catch is worth p × (1 + 4c/20) on average. Each ticket's return adds those up over every catch.
Every ticket
| Spots | Brings back | Without ×5 | Any win | Top |

| 1 | 90.00% | 75.0% | 1 in 4.00 | 3 ×5 15 |

| 10 | 89.98% | 40.4% | 1 in 15.47 | 2,000 ×5 10,000 |
One spot pays 3 for a catch: 75% alone. With the last ball's ×5 (one game in 80) it brings back exactly 90%.
With whole medals a 2-spot ticket could bring back 84.2% (10 for both caught) or 92.6% (11), nothing between: a catch of none gives the medal back instead, as some real tables do, and it brings back 89.68%.

How it works
- Mark 1 to 10 of the numbers 1 to 80. Bets are 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 medals; every pay is for each medal bet, the bet included.
- DRAW draws twenty different balls the moment it is pressed, in the order they will come out; the screen then shows them one at a time.
- If the twentieth ball is one of your spots, the game pays ×5. A catch that pays nothing stays nothing.
- Skip shows the rest at once. The Odds tab and the How to play box stop the draw where it is; it goes on when you come back.
- Leaving or reloading the page mid-draw settles the game at once, as drawn; the page shows the same balls when you come back.
The real machine
- Casino video keno pays by the number of spots marked and caught, a paytable for each; its returns run from about 85% to 95% (the Wizard of Odds’ 2008 San Diego survey found 84% to 95%; his 2017 Las Vegas survey found casinos averaging from about 87% to 93.5%).
- A common real table brings back 87% to 90% for each number of spots; the multiplier versions pay ×4 for a catch on the last ball. These tables are this machine’s own, built to the same shape.
A check by play
50,000 quick picks of 5 spots, drawn at random as the machine draws them, beside the exact figure. A rare top pay makes the bigger tickets swing.

FLOOR JACKPOT
+ 1% of every medal played goes to the floor jackpot: the site adds 1 medal for every 100 you play, on top of what you play. Nothing is taken out of it, so this machine’s own return is exactly as shown.
Each medal played is also a 1 in 150,000 chance to win the whole pool, which starts again at 1,000 medals once it is won. In the long run it brings back 1.67 medals for every 100 played, but only in the long run: most players never win it.
It is for players who are signed in and have joined the floor, on the first 20,000 medals each plays in a day (Japan time) at the linked machines, with one floor jackpot a day at most.
Like the rankings, the floor jackpot is for fun. The medals played that feed it are what players’ browsers report: the site checks each report against what that machine allows, but it cannot prove it. The draw itself is made on the site’s server, never in a browser.
